Who doesn't love a good vegan pizza? This thin crust pizza was a hit for pizza night, so I thought I'd share it with y'all! This pizza reminded me of Screamers Pizzeria in NYC. (ScreamersPizzeria) on ig. You will want to make this everyday after trying this. This pizza can make one 12 inch, normal crust or one 16 inch thin crust. Enjoy!
3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F or less)
1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp of active dry yeast
1 1/4 tsp of sugar
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic minced
In a large bowl put in your water, yeast, and sugar. Let it activate for 10 mins or until foamy on top. If it’s not foamy then you killed the yeast.
Stir in oil and salt.
Add in flour 1 cup at a time and mix together until a cohesive dough ball is formed. If it is too sticky add more flour.
Knead for 5-10 mins. (I usually do 10 minutes).
Place the dough in a well greased bowl and cover it with a warm towel. Allow the dough to rise for one hour or until it has doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees AFTER the dough has doubled.
Punch the dough down and knead it with your fingertips until the dough is smooth.
While the oven is preheating roll your dough out into the form of a circle or whatever shape you want the pizza to be.
Sprinkle garlic and basil on the dough.
Add sauce, cheez, toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 mins. Brush crus will oil and bake for another 5 mins. 20 mins total.
